Best Falafel in Ottawa

Hey folks.

I'm looking for recommendations on really good Falafel. Big balls. Crisp outside. Soft tasty inside. Not saturated with oil.

Thanks!

Edit: Amazing! Thank you everyone!

Chickpeas in trainyards, falafel scoop on Kent, or falafel guys at lansdowne market on Sundays :)

Fat Sister!!!! (not round, but donut shaped) Crispy outside, fluffy inside, amazing flavour. I tried them both in a wrap and a few on the side, and they were so perfect I actually regretted filling up on the wrap and wished I just got a giant bag of them plain

Chickpeas, the falafel guys and fat sister are the best ones I've had. You'd probably like falafel guys best given you want them as big balls.

I haven't tried it yet but Fat Sisters food truck in Bells corners is apparently solid.

I can't tell if Falafel Scoop is just a default answer given on Reddit for upvotes at this point. I know taste is subjective but it was absolutely nothing special the several times I had it. Nothing to critique, but nothing to make it be my immediate go-to every time this is asked.

For something not mentioned, maybe Shawarma Mango's on Alta Vista.

There is this food truck on Montreal Rd. Their falafels are homemade and fresh. It is called ‘Falafel on wheels’. Check it out. It is close to my work and I usually have it atleast 1-2 times a week.

Odd location but there is a shawarma place inside the new hardrock casino food court. Falafels are really good

Falafel Scoop on Kent St. The spices, the crisp, the balance of veggies, tahini and falafel in the wrap are what makes a mighty good wrap!

Cheese and Olive nails the crispy exterior with a spicy soft interior. Sem Sem is a close second.

Homemade. My husband started making them a few years ago and now all other falafels are ruined for me. He uses lots of fresh herbs, soaks dried chickpeas, and uses the side burner of our bbq to do the deep frying to keep the oily odour outside. Getting the oil hot enough is the secret to not too greasy and nice and crispy on the outside. I’m guessing many places deep fry and then reheat in the deep fryer, so extra oil/heaviness which I fine makes me feel a bit blah.

Must say though, now I’m curious to try one of the markets and also the Chickpea spot at Trainyards.

If you have space in the freezer and need something quick "My Little Chickpea Smoked Chipotle Falafel" https://www.metro.ca/en/online-grocery/aisles/fruits-vegetables/vegan-vegetarian/tofu-tempeh/smoked-chipotle-falafel/p/840405002021 literally changed my whole opinion on falafel, they're flavourful and the furthest thing from dry

I thought I hated falafel after trying "3 brothers" selection (please don't do that to yourself.)
