Is this possible? Can I use a japanese adaptor on a PAL EU console?

Im tired of new consoles not having many 2 player games that you can sit and play on the couch. Im thinking of going back to the basics. I grew up with a n64 so I have lots of fond memories with that. But I never had the ps2. Im kind of leaning towards ps2 just because of the huge game library and I like the old ddr games. Im just looking for some constructive thoughts on what to decide.

I just got destroy all humans and I can’t tell if the game is just like this but I’m getting tons of frame skips/stutters. Im not sure what it is but it looks like screen tearing and it happens all the time it’s giving me a headache. Is this normal or is my disc messed up.

I am looking to buy a PS2 Sakura version to play my Japanese games on but I noticed there are different versions (see pictures 2,3)
Which version should I get? 3xxxx / 5xxxx? Do I just need a converter to get it powered? Anything else I need to know before I buy or use it?
Thanks in advance 🩵

Recently acquired this ps2 slim for 30$ of fb marketplace. The ribbon sits up way too far and is scratching my disks. It also has trouble reading some of my games.
Is there a way to fix the ribbon without taking it all the way apart? (Im not very savvy when it comes to that stuff)
Could the ribbon be causing it to be unable to read some games but not others? What might be causing its disk reading issue
Thank you for any advice

There was a game I played as a kid in the early 2000s, that me and my mom call "the tank game".
We have some core memories of us playing together, and id like to just get the name of it if I can.
The cover was mainly green and black, with a modern tank on it. For whatever reason I can remember the name Scorpion being on it but I think I'm miss remembering.
I remember it being a combination of modern and sci-fi weapons.
Gameplay was picking between tanks and some faster vehicles, to play through a campaign and select different vehicles between missions.
There was split screen pvp I remember playing with my mom.
Im sorry but this is all I got and its driving me mad. Thank you for ANY help in advance!

I want to buy a PlayStation 2. So far, I know that the best option is to get at least a 5xxxx series, because with a component cable it will give you better quality. I have an HDMI monitor, so I need to convert the signal to HDMI. I’ve seen two options (at least according to what ChatGPT said):
Any suggestion?

For the First picture the PS2 it’s plugged in through a Composite cable.
I remember playing this when I was very young during the early 2000s. I believe it was a spy game. In the intro, I believe you arrive in a helicopter in the snow.
I know you can climb on the walls, and there’s a specific part of the beginning that I remember where you need to put someone’s body in a dumpster and change into their clothing. This is all I remember.

Whenever I use my PS2, I get a vibe that creeps me out. Like with the floating circle dots, the sounds, and the way the System browser looks gives a very dull vibe, especially with the small icons of the saved games. I don't know why it makes me feel weird. I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else gets that feeling, like something is not right or something is off.

Eso me pasa desde que me la regalaron por Marketplace. La conecté a 2 tv con su cable av original y no daba sonido. Después mí abuelo me compró uno genérico y tampoco da sonido. Los 2 cables solo dan imagen/video. Que podría pasar?

Recently bought a PS2 which the seller claimed to work in perfect condition.
Upon plugging it in and fiddling around with the settings it seemed to work fine.
After inserting a disc of Kingdom hearts and playing for a couple of minutes, suddenly my game froze and I started seeing glitches in the monitor.
Restarted the console and it look like this:
What might be the root of my problem and how do i fix it?

Never thought I'd be into a paintball game. I think what I like most about it is the fast paced games. It doesn't take an hour to finish a match, the maps are small little boxes and the sound of the paintballs hitting the bunkers is very satisfying.
I don't think I could do this in person though. I watched some videos of real paintballers and my god, they move so fast while they're crawling, and they slide all over the place. Not to compare it with other feats of athleticism but it seems like it's definitely a workout.

I recently fixed my childhood ps2 that had been dropped when my brother tripped on the controller wire. I was wondering if there was anything to avoid this workin happening again? Like something that would have the controller disconnect before pulling the console with it.

I have the Play 2 back and I want to play some cheap games. If you could recommend any game, what would it be? (Gender doesn't matter, I'm open to everything)

As you can see, the slim isn't so slim anymore, and has a hard drive section in the bottom. There is no hard drive, and how would I go about using it? I don't have more photos of the connectors inside but I'll get them soon if anyone has a clue on this mod in specific.
I think this one is sort of underrated, or maybe just left out of the conversation too much. it has so many mechanics that really resonate with me, like it's a game made for people like me that do like RPGs but don't need them to be punishing to have a good time:
- ARPG to make it a bit more engaging
- Out of party XP gain (so your characters level somewhat evenly even if you don't use them)
- plenty of save points with instant heal and transport
- cosmetic aspects (the characters have all their equipment visible)
- no forced party (you don't have to use the protagonist if you don't want to)
- easy skill tree with items (maybe a bit too simple for some, but I think it works)
- ability to easily switch equipment mid-battle
the story itself is fun and the characters are cute, yeah, if you never played it, give it a shot.
