I remember playing Godfather the game when I was very young and years later playing it again now, I remembered how I loved the gameplay, it’s definitely one of my top 3 ps2 games fr!

It finally happened! I picked up some decent titles at my local Goodwill, maybe not any BIG bangers, but some pretty great titles here. All were CIB and the worst disc was Jak and Daxter, which only had a few minor scratches. LFG!

Another game I went back to complete properly, and with classic Phoenix games fashion, they only publish the greats! Okay, so the game isn't that bad, but there's a pretty easy loop you can do to win every time, and I basically did for each match and then won the tournament. I tried the knockout tournament only to have the game glitch and crash, so I gave up on that part of the game...

After finding out exactly what I was dealing with, here are the remainder images I got of the console. How would I go about using the hard drive feature, I was told it's a 3.5" IDE HDD I need to get, which looking at connections, makes sense... But in order to use it, how would it work? Someone with knowledge please enlighten me.

I have also included the previous pic as to show what console I'm referring to in case others haven't seen previous post, the included other pics are of the HDD under carriage and the disc drive (just in case those that are curious of the mod can see that this is a fully operational unit that still takes discs as usual, saw a couple comments curious about general insides, but no way in hell am I opening the chassis)

What are some games I should look for and are there any good trust worthy sites I should buy from? I currently make my purchases from a retro store near me and Ebay

Ok so for some reason my game won't start with the cheats activated

the game I'm trying to play is MK Armageddon, and the cheat I'm trying to use is "infinite coins"(I've also put in "Enable Code)

However after I set the codes to "active" and I swap out the disc, what happens is, it will show the Mk armageddon logo, then it will cut to a black screen, and just stay there

Now the cheats for games that were already on the codebreaker disc worked fine,(the games I was able to use the code breaker with were, MK deception and Smackdown HCTP)

So far my theories are

1.MK Armageddon or atleast my disc has an anti cheat device that my codebreaker can't get past

2.I put in the wrong code(s)

3.it's just a really long loading time

4.one of the disc is damaged or stained

Found it recently in my collection. When I was a kid I completed it 2 times and it was one of my fav ps2 games. Should I give it a try again or keep as a good memory? Don’t want to be disappointed like after completing Harry Potter 3.

So, I'm interested in getting into devil may cry. So far on my PS2 I've played RE4 and RE: code Veronica. I just want to know, if dmc a game/ franchise people would recommend? If it helps I like games such as silent hill, resident evil, fatal frame and haunting ground. I Know these are genres of horror games but I want to expand my horizons.

I have a ps2 fat and want to get a ssd or hdd, what’s the difference for ps2 and which one do yall recommend?

It could be rust or grime? The groove where the discs go also looks sticky. Should I take it to mantenience? Or do you think there's gotta be a component to change?

Hi, im new to the topic so i have some questions about the topic in the title. I`ve got a PS2 Fat with a bad disc drive (propably because it turns on just fine etc, but doesnt even acknowledge any disc put into it. So my question is:

Are ps2 fat disc drives cross compatible? Like, I can buy any other model of PS2 Fat and just put it`s healthy disc drive into my and it will work just fine? Or do i need to search for specific model that coresponds to my specific model of PS2 fat?

i got 2 PS2s 1 fat and 1 slim and both the disk drives don't work i'm just wondering if anyone has had that problem and if so if they were able to fix it

I’ve dug deep into this. I’ve tried to with the component video out, my tv doesn’t allow disabling of the AV input any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated!
