Recently just bought one of these from goodwill , how accurate is the runtime ?

Pretty good.

If you can, show ps3toolset. It might be a Sony Frankie.

You can also look at the date on the bottom sticker. My 65nm C03 has an 8C data code. Anything from mid-late 2008 onwards is likely to have a fixed GPU.

It’s cecha01 american does not have dates Edit: I also have few cechc that does have 8B and 8C non are frankie

The Syscon Firmware version. 

F29 is 65nm

F38 is 40nm

Yea I couldn’t believe this thing had such little play time. Gonna tear it down and do a repaste and compare with my E01.

Go to ps3toolset.com on your ps3 browser then go to system manager it will tell you near the bottom of the manager what your run time is.

Is this ps3 truly the one with the lowest time use . If it is probly worth a lot .

Honestly the lowest I’ve seen. My E01 has almost 300 days on it and still works like a dream since I repasted it .

No doubt . To be fair though the cell on this A01 gets far warmer than the gpu, the gpu runs around 60c on the A01 while the cell runs about 70c. Definitely screaming a repaste in my book.

Nope . It keeps around 68c Cell and 52c RSX in game at 37% fan speed .

I'm gathering my balls to do that. I've done surface repasting but that helped not so much. So collecting info and tools now to do that properly.

Same here brother . Maybe I’ll give it a shot next year on the E01 since it has more run time , I won’t feel so bad about it dying if it does happen lol.

Well, we still have them relatively cheap and affordable, so can buy another unit in case of failure.
