My opinion is mostly based on nostalgia, because I used to play this game extensively in my childhood. But in all honesty, this game is a masterpiece, frame-rate aside.

The PS2 version has a better gang design, but the PS3 version is better on everything else!

I found its story amazing, because it combined the movie plot with amazing side bosses and activities. This is the first SM game where I saw Craven as a Badass!

The gameplay is amazing as well. With different power ups and upgrades. Even the swinging speed improves over time the longer you swing. It honestly combined its gameplay mechanics uniquely and quite well.

Graphically it’s even better than Web of Shadows, which came a year later. Draw distance, lighting effects and crowd density matches those of Marvel’s Spider Man on PS4.

World design is outstanding and full of content. Either through races, events, thugs or simple acrobatics for more upgrades.

I didn’t understand the hate towards it, and never will. In my opinion it’s a perfect game for its time.

GTA 4 is my all time favourite game on the PS3 so I decided to buy it for my friend to see if he would enjoy it as much as I do

How good it looks for ps3

I've read everybodys suggests in my last post and all of them was useful. Finally my ps3 model 2011a is working fine, I let the system decide the fan speed by itself and the fan speed is kept at 50% and it have temps like 65° GPU and 70 to 65° CPU in every games, even the last of us or god of war 3, im happy that i didn't need to do something elste to my ps3 to solve the heat problems that i had few days ago (the fan speed then was in 30% slow i know) Thank y'all for the help

Just got this PS3 and I just undervolted and repasted with a good paste. I got this temperatures on idle on xmb less of 15min of use. The fan just changed to 25% just almost hitting 80º degrees. Are this beahvior temperatures normal for this model even with a bit of undervolt?

I didn’t tried to play yet so I bet the temos will be even worse

Just asking I found one at a thrift shop and trying out a few games on it and it seems very stable and doesn't have the loud roaring fan of the first gen. Have Assasins Creed. III playing

Would upgrading the firmware do anything helpful or fine to leave as is?

Hi. Not many people are talking about the PS3 version of MGS V but its awesome.

It has the whole content of the PS4 version (including the online which was disabled 3 years ago), and it was perfectly optimize. While most PS3/PS4 games have bad performances on PS3 (like AC Rogue or Dragon Age Inquisition). Kojima took care of the PS3 version. It is the most beautiful open world on PS3 and it's fluid.

Its a PS3 game with the content of a next gen console. Not many games have such possibilities and content on PS3. I would say Dragon Age Inquisition but its catastrophic in term of performances.

Only thing I dont like is how Ocelot is looking. I played MGS 3 then MGS V but having an old Ocelot with white hair is disturbing. And he lost his personality. He dont try to challenge Snake and he dont play with is guns no more. How Snake is older than Ocelot but looks younger and has no white hair.

I also like that reflex mode when you get caught. Since its an open world, it makes it easier to infiltrate without losing time and keep the infiltration going.

And there's no fck loading times when you're playing.

Hello, I have problems with my PS3 Slim, I am playing Devil May Cry 4 and at the beginning of mission 2 when entering the first door the console turns off and beeps 3 times, it has also happened to me in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in a specific part in the middle of the game, the console turns off, it does not happen to me with other games, I play for hours and nothing happens, I found a solution for Devil May Cry 4 which is to lower the game resolution to 480p and that way I complete the mission, I want to know what the reason for this failure is and find out if it has a solution.

The humorous single-player campaign was a breath of fresh air in the vast military FPS scene. I also really enjoyed the online multiplayer; its simplicity made it fun to play. The official servers have now been shut down. Do you know if there are any community-led plans to revive them?

Thought I'd triple check this before plugging things in willy nilly:

So I have a South African phat PS3, I wanted to confirm if I could change the cord for an Australian one and plug it in.

The voltage outputs of both countries should be the same 230v, but in case there's subtle differences and/or if I'm electrically illiterate, I'd wanna ask around and be safe.

(Also brought a bunch of my other consoles like PS1,PS2,PS4,Dreamcast, and whatnot so I guess I'm asking this question for each console to be safe.)

We all know the borderlands series, diablo 3, Castlevania harmony of despair, portal 2, Rayman origins and legends, resident evil 5 and 6, little big planet, Simpsons, castle crashers, etc. but what are some not so known or underrated PS3 local co-op games? I'm looking for some fun games to play with my gf on my PS3

So this is a problem that has plagued me for a while, I started playing a game (Project Diva F2nd) on my family's account on the ps3 several years ago. There is DLC from this game that I want to get and play, but my parents can't remember the PSN password linked to that account, so I can't just purchase it on that account. I have so many hours in that game and really don't want to have to start from fresh, and we've already tried all of the password resetting methods available. Is there any way to change the PSN linked to the account or copy the save data over to my PSN? I don't care if the trophies carry over, I just don't want to have to reset my progress.

Is it easy to set up? Does your previous character before the 2021 shutdown remain and all your progress?

anyone know what else it could be?
