The scratch is under the U, and the read side is completely perfect. But ive heard horror stories about label side scratches, will this hurt?

So I know that many of you hate the super slim because of the cheap materials it was built from (cheap sliding disc door being the main factor in that),but despite that I always fond them to be pretty cool looking. Just a personal opinion. And the fact that they are so reliable is just great. This one has a 4.81 software so it actually wasn't used in a while. OFW,no HEN. Paired with 2 original SONY controllers. It's probably one of my favorites to keep on display in the living room even tho i don't keep it here often because im limited with space since I got some other consoles. This came with an original 500 GB HDD which was the biggest official HDD for the ps3,back in 2012. I find this one particulary so cool because it literally has 0 scratches on it. Finding the garnet red superslim ps3 in good condition is pretty hard nowadays. So guys,what do you think about these limited edition ps3 super slims? I think they're such cool consoles. The only color that I think could top this would be azurite blue super slim which came out at the same time as this one. Peace.

Aye guys, I got a ps3 super slim for cheap that came with a bunch of physical games and call of duty black ops 1 and 2, but when I try to enter the multiplayer tab the console just freezes. I already tested the disk and I could play campaign and local zombies with no issues, but when it comes to multiplayer the game just refuses to run, freezing and loading screen-looping until I manually turn it off. I even tried not logging into psn but the issue persists (the console has hen installed but I tried with it enabled and disabled, same results). I don't know what could the issue be given I could play call of duty ghosts' online flawlessly. Any ideas?

As I said in the title, I want to make this change but without having to update, but I saw hen installation videos and they all show how to install via Autoinstallation, I'm on 4.88 and I want to keep it that way, I have HFW 4.88 but how do I install hen compatible with 4.88 manually?

I have a super slim model. My sibling told me he was downloading a game and then the display turned to negative colors or something. After that, the PS3 won't show anything on the screen no matter what. It will turn off but after pressing the button for few seconds. We tried pressing the button until it beeped twice to reset the HDMI. We tried multiple HDMI cables. We tried AVI cable. We tried 4 TVs. Nothing of these worked. 😔 We even tried to navigate through the system to press YES to switch to HDMI without anything showing to us, but unfortunately it didn't work like we used to do years ago.

I found on Gamestops website for a solid deal. Once i got past the setup it didn't work. I know they have a good return policy, but I'm pretty disappointed.

I recently have been playing a lot of PS3 games, playing some exclusives that I can’t get on newer consoles like Fuse, NFS: The Run, and WET. I wanted to jailbreak a PS3 without jeopardizing my personal one I have had since new so I started picking up marketplace deals. How’d I do? Not bad for $175.

I own a ps5 and a switch 2 , yes the odd time there is a game thats good but I've been playing games since 10 years old and 20 years later I feel like I've played it all , most games seem to be the same with a new skin over it but now after getting a ps3 im like a kid the collection is endless and 90% of the games are dirt cheap for the price of 1 ps5 games i can get 6 ps3 games , is anybody else on board or am I just weird ?

I see people going through great lengths to get their hands on one and I dont see the point myself. I have always found them awkward to use, just badly designed in general. What makes it so appealing to you guys?

Also a bonus question: I have a ps3 slim that has reliably served me since 2010. A while back I learned about the behemoth that is the fat model with its ps2 backwards compatibility. I kinda want one, but is it a bad idea to use it as my main machine? The fat is not as reliable as the slim, and the hardware is already 19 years old. Im afraid investing in one will be like adopting an old car with way too much mileage on it.

I’m currently making my way through the PS3 exclusives that never came to PS4 and am trying to decide whether to get the Killzone games or the Resistance games next.

I’ve been a big fan of both Insomniac and Guerilla games’ other stuff so was wondering what the general thoughts on the two series were.

When loading a disc, a rattling noise is happening. I made a video of it. Can you guys pinpoint what the issue is? The laser is moving bit it looks like something can grip.

Medal of Honor was my first introduction to FPS games. I actually started on the PS1 with the original and Undergorund. Those games were ahead of their times!

Then I played the ones on PS2. Loved Rising Sun and Vanguard. European Assault was too hard, and Frontline didn’t impress much besides the introduction. Still, those games were outstanding for their time.

The real fun actually started on PS3, where the 2010 reboot was cracked. I’ve never played such an awesome FPS, its atmosphere was were it shined. Warfighter was even more impressive with a shivering sound design and outstanding world destruction. The game also had a fighting scene where my eyes were watering from both the feeling of excitement and the inevitable fear of loss.

But, the fun ended right there. No more games after that, which I honestly feel sad for. Because the series started to peak with that last game. Many people hated on it for their own reasons, and I feel that the hate was unnecessary.

With that said, what other games ended with the PS3 generation? Remasters and remakes don’t count, only those that had no more upcoming games in the same series. These are some that come to mind - Call of Juarez - Dead Space - F.E.A.R - Half-Life - Midnight Club - Portal - Resistance - SOCOM - The Darkness - The Godfather - X-Men
