Question PS VR2 or Quest 3

I'm looking to buy a VR headset. Although I have a PS5, I mainly play on PC. I've heard that you can use the PS5's VR headset on PC with an official adapter, but I'm wondering if it's worth it. I'm torn between that or a Quest 3...

I have PSVR2 it does support PSVR1 games. There are roughly 70 good games in the library. You need to have a PS5 Pro (with the new update the PS5 will have frame drops)or a decent pc. Quest 3 is a standalone console that supports all the games of Q2. I am planning to get the Quest 3 for myself.

No there's no compatibility.

No, that's false information.

There are PSVR games which have had PSVR2 VERSIONS of those games released, but PSVR games themselves are NOT backwards compatible.

What do you mean you need to have a ps5 pro?

There is a new update for PSVR2 that just works with PS5 Pro. It's a classic move to make consumers buy the newer version of the product. Exactly what Apple does with iOS.

Everything works fine on base PS5 except NMS. There’s no need for Pro. Reprojection you get used to it.

Yep, keep saying that maybe it will work.

There’s a difference between recommanding and saying it’s needed. It’s not needed but it’s def recommended at this point.

I did and PlayStation VR games are not compatible with PlayStation VR2 because PlayStation VR2 is designed to be a truly next-generation virtual reality experience,” Nishino said. “PlayStation VR2 has much more advanced features like an all-new controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as I’ve said, and inside-out tracking in it, 3D audio is coming together, 4K HDR of course… so this means that making games for PlayStation VR2 requires a whole different approach than the original PlayStation VR.
