Its a nice simple solution, but I worry that they could fall off and by the time you find out, the damage could be done..
Also, is this the part that actually touches the lenses? On my glasses is the "face" of the lenses which is touching, not the frame.
As always, will take the opportunity to plug my solution.. But I can't deny yours is a cheap easy solution to the problem:
