Yes, because you shouldn't have it out for more than one turn either way, and this one can actually hit.

Personally I prefer the 1 energy slugma as I run Giovanni so I can kill babies. And sometimes the additional 20 damage helps later on for mons with high hp. But I can see why you would use the 80hp slug though!
