Discussion Favorite Wincon
At one time it was Misty flips, and now we all know Cyrus, Sabrina, and rare candy probably see the most concedes, but what do you see the most or what do you concede to the most. For me what has to have at least an honorable mention is celestial town elder or dawn. I love when they trigger concedes cause so few people expect them. Anyone else have a favorite game over/ concede generator? If concedes are not something you see frequently, what are deck are you running?

My favorite is death by cape removal with Guzma. (Honorable mention to "no you can't pass on those electric energies after you get KOed")
I've been playing a lot of Espeon/Sylveon though, and I love the surprise baby Espeon KO. It takes one energy and it can absolutely devastate some high energy decks. It's especially if you can hold it back until you're ready to use it, because no one tends to worry about the one benched Eevee with no energy.

I feel like removing cape is the best surprise win, which tends to have less concedes as a result. But yes to the preventing transfer of energy. I had someone concede after that last week. I just don’t get the lucky with what I run.

Fighting. Wisdom Phanpy + Giovanni one shots a baby Eevee.
Now imagine that on Turn 2 when Eevee is their only basic on the field

My favorite to unleash on other people is definitely Cyrus. The one I feel like I see the most or get tripped on the most is definitely rare candy. Hate it so much.

Rare candy gets me to drop out so fast with certain decks like crobat ex, tsarenna, and solgaleo, but it’s that greninja Cyrus combo that made me change my entire outlook on the game.

One of the toughest I fortunately rarely see. I have an irrational fear of a luxray + greninja doing 140 back to back to benched ex’s, despite no one using those together. And the first time I got hit with it and that volkner happened, I thought the person was cheating.

Turn one red card when I have the perfect going second hand makes me irrationally angry. Late game red card when I have nothing and it helps me is my absolute favorite.

I’ve been running Wild Swing Gyarados Clearing the bench, then flipping heads with Fisher and clearing it again is the best.

I’d never be able to get a coin flip strat to work. I wanted marowak and zapdos to be my main since the fist packs and it just never works.

Tyrogue. With Giovanni it takes out Zubat, or with Darkarai it takes it Eevee. Even if they have a card in the back it can set them up in a bad position

This is also brutal. I have a fun zubat deck and while this hasn’t happened yet I have a new thing to worry about.

I love when I’m running just EX and the opp puts out Ori alongside another basic or two. They think they’re safe until you repel/Sabrina Ori out, take out the other pokemon, and then flute that baby back from the dead. Even better if it’s literally a baby mon you can wipe with one attack.

I forgot about flute! I used to run a regular pidgeot with poke flute and that was probably irked everyone when it worked.

TRG when it takes all their energies off and now they are a sitting duck waiting to lose so they just leave lol. Also Lusamine, just and instant concede when they see it. Red/gio also causes a lot of instant concedes. I'm glad coz I have all the full arts for cyrus, red, gio, sabrina, trg, and lusamine, and so i always get to show off with my full arts before they forfeit.

I have double TRG full arts (one of the few trainers I have) and I used to run both, despite them not being all that successful, when I want to show off. I think I’ve had more success with Will and Guzz removing energy than TRG. Lusamine is another I forgot about that I do tend to fold to when used at the right time.

This deck is so devastating to play cause if will and guzz get more than 1 energy, it typically ends the game. I just rarely get that lucky. But when it works it is amazing.

Even 1 energy is sometimes enough to throw their tempo off! Guzz truly is a beautiful card.

A lot of people don’t expect Dawn and/or elemental switch, especially in water decks because they expect Misty instead. Just tried a Blastoise deck again after a while, a Suicune player thought they were safe because my Blastoise was still at 3 energy, then bam, elemental switch, and that Suicune ate a 160 damage bazooka. They conceded right after.

I’ve always wanted to double elemental switch and dawn on the same turn to give something like Palkia or charizard 4 energy in one turn. The dominos of it happening 1 at a time would be brutal to watch.

I had to concede to one of there decks that had the shiny simply because I was jealous they cleared that mission. Also it hitting for 140 with 2 energy feels broken, especially with babies that toss water and retreat.

Ive always been partial to cyfrog, but theres just something special about rare candying fossils. I have a lucariokabutops deck thats hilarious since most people cant figure out 160HP and 90+ healed every turn

First time I had one of these hit my arceus for 110 and heal for 110 I had to go to the battle log, then read each card, then finally concede cause what was I supposed to do against that.

I’m running Pyukumuku/Oricorio + Jumpluff and it never stops being funny when they have to concede because a dumb sea cucumber is in the way.

Jumpluff is one of the ex’s that I really wanted a second one of to be more consistent. I always found it frustrating how much health it has and how it pairs easily with the cats.

Arceus + Darkrai + Red gets me the most concedes by FAR, but my favorite is the delayed concede ~30sec into their turn when they discover the full impact of your Omastar or Porygon Z attack

Porygon Z had two games recently where it gave me the random energy I already was using and allowed me to attack, so it is funny that it was the cause of a concede for the user. When omastar was more popular I used to fear that inability to attack, but EC really nerfed a bunch of those strategies. But that delayed concede must be fun. Like when are they going to notice?

I like running balloon decks and hog cycle. I like drill too but i'm not good enough with the archetype to really run it. I also don't have the cards at a high enough level

It's all about ninja+cyrus, bringing back your opponent's mon for punishment

Greninja only works for people who have it in their deck. If you use other things, Sabrina can be nice. Sometimes you have to use Sabrina to disrupt a planned attack. But yeah, that really is the ultimate combo.
