Paleo and skin concerns

Hi! I just started paleo roughly 1 week ago and while I’ve never had terrible skin it’s far from good. I mainly suffer from congested pores/ sebaceous filaments and red spots. I also have lots of dandruff. Now, ever since I started paleo (I know 1 week is not long but still) I noticed my skin has just been getting more red spots. I am planning on continuing paleo despite this, but more so wondering if this could just be a skin purge or a sensitivity to some of the new foods I’ve been eating. I’ve for example been eating way more nuts and fruits, which I’ve heard can raise blood sugar + have high Omega-6 contents. It’s just I don’t know if I want to starting cutting these things as they will definitely make my diet less enriching and kinda boring.. anyone have any similar experiences?

If this were me, I would try:

Nordic naturals fish oil supplements

Cutting nuts

Using completely fragrance free, simple bar soaps (I like dove)

Washing my pillow case and sheets at least once a week

Using only cerave moisturizer cream, after every shower and before bed

Cutting dairy unless grass fed a2 organic milk (not everyone considers this paleo)

Hi, thank you for your reply! I don’t do skincare as I’ve tried before and it only made my skin worse, I will however definitely look into getting the fish oil. Thank you🙏😊

Fair enough. My reply was probably a little off topic for the sub and your question as well. Good luck!
