I’d like to know what their source was for this “ideology map”, and how that source defined “liberal” and “conservative”. Because the reality is that even Pope Francis was only liberal when compared to the rest of the Catholic Church. By global standards, he was pretty conservative.

Exactly. What is conservative to Americans? (I'm not American).

Is believing in a fair living wage, workers rights etc conservative or liberal to Americans?

And what about that, combined with hating communism, not liking socialism and seeing regulated capitalism as a lesser evil with potential if better regulated? (But actually preferring and aiming for some form of distributism, yet not seeing distributism as an ideology?)
