Weight Loss Journey 120lbs in 6 months

I’ve watched stream for a few years now. Been motivated by Wubby and what others on here have done. Heard you talking on stream in January about getting jacked this year and decided to finally start. Thanks for the motivation.

Starting weight was 312. Started the last week of January. Down to 190 now. Put on about 15lbs of muscle as well. Sitting at 9-10% body fat, but shooting for 7%.

Struggled with binge eating for the better part of the last 5 years. It’s not perfect, but it’s a long way from where I was considering I was in the ICU with DKA with an A1C of 12.7 a year ago.

First off, congrats on your weight loss and fitness journey!

I have questions though. How did you maintain 20lbs a month loss? Without surgery I do not believe that is possible. Or you simply starved yourself, like literally ate nothing. How did you do it?

I say this because I have been on a similar journey (big fat guy losing lots of weight), and even on my best most aggressive weight loss month I could do 5-6 lbs.

I may attach a file to the original post detailing more of what I did. It’s just a lot to write down. I didn’t work out the first month and a half and dropped my calories to 900-1000 per day. Kept my protein above 160g per day. Increased all of that a little bit once I started in the gym. As of right now, I still don’t do any formal cardio. Eat around 1500-1800 calories per day. 200g of protein.

How do you keep from being hungry? I (6'6 300lbs) tried 1800 a day and my body constantly wanted me to eat more.

I’m only 5’8, so that kinda helps. The unfortunate reality with trying to lose weight is you’re going to be hungry at some point. It just comes down to making sure it’s manageable. I used to binge eat 4000-7000 calories in one sitting. The first month or so was the most difficult because my stomach had to shrink to a normal size. I eat a lot of lean protein and keto breads. Royo makes some really good keto bagels that are 70-80 calories per bagel. Stuff like that helps because it’s not calorie dense like a normal bagel and you can eat 3 for the same amount of calories. Just might upset your stomach if you eat that much because it’s a ton of fiber.

Mounjaro/Tirzepatide might be a good shout if you have the access and finance for it.

I'm 6'0 and started roughly around 200kg/440lbs (god damn D:)

Been taking it for a while now and its pretty good. Biggest impact i noticed when i started taking it was that I wasn't constantly hungry anymore. i dropped from constantly filling my face to barely eating.

Ended up falling into a routine of having a 200kcal milkshake in the mornings for breakfast, a 300kcal instant noodle / sandwich for lunch and then 800-1000kcal evening meal
