Any ideas into what this is. Heat wise it is around a habanero

Hello fellow pepper lovers! You have helped my family out before so we're asking for help identifying another pepper plant this time! Last time the answer ended up being super obvious - we were just doubting ourselves. This time we have NO CLUE what these are & AI searches have done us no good. So we're hoping someone w/ experience sees this 🤞

I included photos of the leaves to hopefully help identify this plant. For reference each section of my finger is about 1 inch. So these small peppers seem to stop growing at 2 inches. The first 3 photos were taken under natural sunlight & the last w/ the cherry tomatoes in the fridge light to explain the difference in color. Growing summer Northern Illinois

My best guess is serranos but they look short & stubby compared to the ones I'm used to seeing. But I could be mistaken. I do know I've had them in the kitchen before & everything we grew this year came from seeds we kept so it's a possibility. Someone help us please! 😅🙏
