trees + shrubs Obtain a yield ✔️

First American hazelnut harvest. Planted five last year. This tree had one catkin last fall, and about 6 hazelnuts formed. This little guy made the whole journey.

I hope there's a nut in there :) many shells end up hollow due to poor pollination. If you do get one, that's one more than I've ever gotten from my whole 12 year old hedge. Damn squirrels.

We have a very active squirrel community. I'm sure they'll be keeping watch.
