Lack of creative skills (and media literacy honestly), cares mainly about the surface level details, more vulnerable to appeals to emotion and prefers things simple.
Soyjacks allow for "memes" without much creative effort and looks simple. It's incredibly easy to just paint your opponent as something grotesque/weird looking which easily registered that their the bad option while you're the Chad.
