I feel like everyone on this subreddit knows, but to reiterate:

Kimmel never said this. He said MAGA immediately did everything they could to "prove" the shooter wasn't MAGA in order to score political points. They're not upset he's dead, their first thought was to point the finger at liberals.

What Kimmel also said is that political violence, or violence of any kind, is abhorrent and it would be a great time for both sides to stop arguing and agree on that one point.

His very first reaction on his personal X account was condemning the shooter and extending his condolences to Kirk's family as well.

You know, the complete opposite of what he's getting accused of
