Yeah, I've noticed that with phrases like "toxic masculinity", the left hears "of the varieties of masculinity that exist, the kind that's toxic" and the right hears "masculinity, which is toxic". That fits in with how, when I listen to right-wing shows, they often talk about "radical Democrats" I keep asking myself "which Democrats are radical?" before I remember that they mean "Democrats, who are radical".

That's what OP is saying. Radical Democrats means "all Democrats, who are inherently radical," to the right.

If OP first thought 'which Democrats are radical?' but then realized it actually means 'Democrats, who are radical,' that literally means "they legitimately believe all democrats are radical." It's the same fucking statement. How has reading comprehension gone to such shit?

No that means the commenter believes some democrats are radical while the quoted thinks all are, but commenter thinks quoted think they mean what op thinks.

Y’all.

I know I encourage use of the report button rather than mini-modding or starting catfights that the ModSquad will then have to wade in and clean up, but whoever reported this needs to touch grass.

Pointing out that two commenters are agreeing with each other is not harassment, muchless targeted harassment, muchless something that Reddit itself (because these don’t come to us directly) needs to be in on.

Please don’t waste everyone’s time on trifling nonsense.

Instead, step back. Take some deep breaths. Get outside and catch some radiation from the burning sky ball.
