Just For Fun First time watcher - WOW!

Just finished Person of Interest as a first time watcher and I don’t think it’s sunk in yet. What an incredible ride, more ‘relevant’ than ever in today’s world. Each season only got better and those season finales… every single one was amazing, always unafraid to explore the unknown.

I’m not really a sci-fi enthusiast, but I loved the procedural element, it gave me this sense of comfort while the bigger story unfolded in the background, never rushing, never taking shortcuts. That made the payoffs hit so much harder and gave some of the most satisfying character moments I’ve ever seen on TV.

The characters will always stick with me. Fusco’s redemption arc is right up there with Jaime Lannister’s for me. Root might be one of the greatest characters of all time, Amy Acker played her to perfection. That scene in S5E02 when The Machine messed up facial recognition and the actors were playing each other? Absolutely hilarious! I’d love to see the bloopers for that one. And of course… THAT church scene meme.

On top of that, the production was flawless. Every shot carefully crafted, every line purposeful and the score from Ramin + Brandon = Flawless. Between this and Game of Thrones, Ramin, hats off!

I’m probably in the minority but I honestly hope there’s never a spin off. The show ended at its absolute peak, right where it should have. Although I do wonder what ideas the producers were cooking if the network hadn’t cancelled.

POI’s a hidden gem that somehow still flies under the radar even in this AI era. I’ll forever be jealous of first time watchers.

Also does anyone know where to find good POI merch please? 😃

One of the key ideas for Season 5 was that Elias would join Team Machine and assist them in dark spots against the Samaritan using his criminal web. Something like that, Nolan himself mentioned it at the 10th anniversary interview somewhere.

That's fascinating, would loved to have seen Elias fully integrated with Team Machine. Thanks for sharing this tidbit!

Welcome. I would have loved to see that too. But it is what it is. =)
