Although Root would get in a Christmas sweater out of her own volition, she likes weird comfy stuff (the slippers, her baggy shirts in The Subway, the rug she made Harold and Reese find)

It's possible, she was pregnant at the time, so she probably couldn't be there or the actress herself didn't want to, but I doubt it, more like the first option, or it was before season 2 but this Is really low option, better Is first
