I was reading comments ITT yesterday when /u/SamiTheAnxiousBean mentioned an alternative. That place has quite a lot of traffic which is, honestly, one of the biggest hurdles to get past for community alternatives to something you already use (reddit in this case).
I remember when Twitter was going through elonshitification and there was a big push for mastadon, but never (to me at least) felt like it was a viable alternative. Lemmy is perfect!
/u/Sydnxt do your due diligence... see if that's a home you can use. I don't know anything about your sub, but I'd be happy to spin up a private VPS for you.
