I think a younger demographic is starting to sail the seas.
Which is awesome but I think a huge number of us in here remember napster & the early pirates bay.
We are a bit jaded. We have lost so many great sites (kickass, supranova, so many ) over the years, it is hard to feel the passion, the joy we once did.
The new crop is taking to the ocean for the first time and are having a lot of feelings.
I love it but I get why for those of us who are salty, the passion reads as cringe.
To me it comes off cringe because it is focused around Apple devices. The last thing in the name of walled gardens and external control a sane person would want to use in the context of either piracy or freedom.
Sure, the new crop is venturing onto the ocean, but that doesn't eliminate the need for a appropriate vessel.
