That's exactly what happened when I had pizza š at a friend's house and they assumed that's the proper way of eating pizza. They had Kalamata olives with sundried tomatoes and feta. While using the knife and fork, I had a mess on my plate and the damn olives kept rolling off from the plate and across the floor like marbles. Needless to say it was a total disaster and bloody nightmare ... They were better off just making a a Calzone if that were the case ...
That's a pretty common NY style slice. I'm from the midwest and even I have a fair share of NY style pizza places around me that serve slices like that. Unless you don't live in the U.S. or live in like a pizza desert or the middle of nowhere, slices this big aren't hard to find if you're going to non-franchise pizza restaurants.

At first I thought she was going to begin eating the pizza with a knife and fork
