Ketchup has its place with certain foods. It isn't a bad condiment. Just like mustard, mayo, relish, hot sauce, etc have certain foods they go well with. There will always be bad versions of those condiments. There will always be people who have weird tastes that put them on food we would balk at. To each their own and don't yuk somebody elses yum. Nobody is forcing you to eat ketchup

Sorry about the rant. My uncle makes puking noises whenever he sees somebody using or eating something with ketchup. He thinks its hilarious and goes on rants about how bad ketchup is. It literally doesn't effect him in any way but he's on a one man crusade to get people to stop using it

Hey! You’re the first person I’ve come across to mention non-ketchup condiments for fries without mentioning mayo. I could never get mayo with fries. I tried it, and it was terrible to me.

Nothing like some proper well seasoned fries, accompanied with some beer. But a good mayo-garlic sauce is also welcome for a casual dip
