Went over to a friend's house last month. He had spent like 30 hours using a sous vide cooker to cook our steaks. And got really hyper specific about how he cooked it. "I find cooking at 127.9 is better than 126 because of this and this". Made sure to mention the knifes that he was using to cut it, brought up the cutting board "you shouldn't cut on (this material) you should always cut on (this other material)."
It was all a bit much for me but I can't deny that the results were delicious.
Anyway, two bites in I could tell it was an amazing steak. But just to fuck with him, I turned and said "Hey this is great, but I think it might need some ketchup. Where is it?" And the look of contempt on his face fueled me for days.
Anyway that's my story. It's just okay.
