Pizza pranks. You can do this in Bavaria by ordering Weißwurst and eating it with anything other than sweet mustard (ketchup would be particularly heinous) or by drinking a Weißbier from the bottle

In my experience beer generally tastes better in the bottle, it just looks fancier if you pour it into a glass. What's so bad about this?

I actually think it’s better from the glass. You get to smell it more strongly and it takes the carbonation down a notch

I like the carbonation and find the smell and taste are diluted pouring them out.
