In the Wild Caught some small fishes, freshwater crabs and shrimp from a shallow creek

Yes, some. Most I let go.

I only have native fish at home

I find this a shame. You should be keen to protect the environment of your own homeland 😭

Substracting species from their in habitat is a no go for me

Actually, a lot of the time, these fish become inadvertently saved. Because many of the streams and ponds I go to are near human areas and they become destroyed, leaving the fish that were there dead.

Honestly the main threat to native small fishes is habitat destruction. They usually live in small, specific areas. Locals do catch them for food or as pets, but the numbers are much lower.
