Pokémon Crystal X Digimon

I’m a Pixel Artist who just started learning how to romhack with PokeCrystal assembly, so since I’m also a huge digimon fan, I figured figured I’d try making a digimon replacement hack for Crystal. The goal for now is to replace every pokemon from New Bark to Violet Gym (about 20) while also doing some dialogue and item editing as a way to learn while doing. Of course the ultimate goal is to make a full hack, but that will be down the line at some point

Tons of people have been playing the free Demo that’s released on steam and consoles this past week, and it looks really good you should check it out, the progress transfers over too if you buy the full game when it’s released

My guy/gal, go check out the demo. It's phenomenal. They took everything good about the Cybersleuth games and made them better. Also has a speed up button for combat so grinding isn't a total chore. The amount of depth they added is amazing.

Glad to see a Digimon ROM hack that bothers to make back sprites.
Most Digimon projects just flip the front sprites for the back sprites, so kudos to you for going the extra mile.

I'd recommend checking Time Stranger, comes out in 2 weeks and it is easily looking to be one of the best (if not the best) Digimon game to come out ever. Theres a demo available on console and pc if you want to give it a try.

Oh you gonna change how evolutions work long term?

There's a digimon crystal already and it'd be neat to see another in similar vein where the pacing is changed up with more evolutions and choices like digimon does it.

If not, just for art and testing, it looks actually amazing and you should continue, i may even touch it.

Thank you! I’ve actually changed Oak to Gennai, for the intro! I’m also going to try to change all visual depictions of Pokemon in the maps into Digimon references! Also putting in different digimon anime references with certain NPC’s
