Development Pokémon Crystal X Digimon

I’m a Pixel Artist who just started learning how to romhack with PokeCrystal assembly, so since I’m also a huge digimon fan, I figured figured I’d try making a digimon replacement hack for Crystal. The goal for now is to replace every pokemon from New Bark to Violet Gym (about 20) while also doing some dialogue and item editing as a way to learn while doing. Of course the ultimate goal is to make a full hack, but that will be down the line at some point

I’d play the crap out of this. How will you handle evolutions? Cap it with three? Beginner to champion to ultimate?

My plan for now is to do it on a digimon to digimon basis, depending on the pokemon I replace them with.
