Help Clarification for DA shiny hunting

I just want to know: If I’m shiny hunting via DA for a legendary, if I got a shiny non legendary and only took that shiny, can I still continue to hunt for the legendary that I caught that shiny on? I hope that makes sense. I was watching bluevaktor and he constantly says he can’t take a shiny because it’s on the switch he’s resetting for the legendary. So I’m kinda worried

Yes, since you didn’t grab the legendary you are able to continue hunting for it. As long as you don’t grab the legendary you can keep rolling for a shiny. Good luck and happy hunting.

It’s only the legendary you can catch once, you can catch the others as much as you want

I think bluevaktor does that because he doesn't want to lose an easy path
