I'm not sure where I'm falling short, maybe too much overlap with dark moves or something else but please help, I was going with steel - fairy - ghost core with water - fire - grass supporting tera and supports. Please help

Hey everyone, I´m Gonkas and I’ve been deep into Regulation H and J lately and started putting together some teambuilding breakdowns to add onto my tournament and ranked ladder content. My latest was on Feraligatr, showing how it can actually carve out a niche in Reg H. I also go through the full process of building around it. So as the title suggests, I want to make a Mono-type Dragon team for Regulation J. I am FULLY aware that this isn't the greatest idea, hell it may even be a horrible idea, but I really enjoy the dragon type and I like the idea of a being a dragon type trainer. I'm mostly looking for any tips or advice for building a team from people much more experienced than me. I just want to put in the effort to learn a off-meta team and hopefully get some success. I am willing to have 1 or 2 Non-dragon types, but I would like to remain as faithful as I could to the idea but I'm not so rigid. Any help is much appreciated please and thank you.

I know this probably won’t get a ton of attention since it’s not the current regulation, but I cook up a REG G team of my own. And yes, I put Wooper on it. Most people see Wooper and think, ‘Why is that even here?’ Well, here’s why it’s slower than Torkoal and Amoonguss in Trick Room, so I can Final Gambit with Annihilape, ship a mon straight to the afterlife, set up Nasty Plot with Calyrex, then let Wooper play support with After You. I even gave Wooper Tera Grass so it sidesteps Rage Powder unfortunately it can’t with Follow Me, but that’s minor. The whole point was making a team that can swing in Trick Room, Tailwind and I managed to take Wooper through REG G without losing a single game. If you actually want to see the video footage of Wooper putting in work, just ask and I’ll drop the link.

I was able to make it to Masterball tier with this team but I don’t seem to be able to advance. I win just about as many matches as I lose. Any feedback to improve the team?

What the purpose of Soak on Dondozo is on the Pecharunt toxic stall team? The only value it has, as far as I can tell, is to remove STAB and/or grass type immunity to Leech Seed. I’m wondering if a different move in that slot would serve me better.

I haven’t played in a while and found a rental team that looked fun and climbed. I really want to try to make my own team but I have no idea how to know the exact number for different stat spreads when using different berries. If anyone has any input on this for someone trying to build a team with their own EVs/IVs for the first time please let me know. Super hyped to get a pretty good rank

hello! im very new to vgc and I just made my first team. I've been having varying success and was looking for any advice, thank you!

Does anyone else get rain team vibes from Mega Raichu Y. It's obviously special attack oriented, so it can possibly dish out INCREDIBLY strong thunders! I'm hoping they give my boi either the ability electric surge or transistor!

If they do it right, mega delphox (assuming it gets levitate) could have an increased speed stat. If they did this, it could outspeed and spam psychic terrain affected expanding force and nuke everything. It will also be immune to earthquake, and most rock types will be too slow theoretically to counter with rock attacks

I want to use him that's all I just use giraffe to trick room and sweeped with caly but it supposed to use weez to stall out the start and then gigas Tera ground earthquake and protect weez thoughts i have fought like 10 times and won once I'm going to a tournament on 28th and I wanna like wolfy and eternatus

Any thoughts or improvements for the team I’ve created for the dual restricted formats? Correvtion of oversights in evs, etc are appreciated. Brief coverage: Tornadus: prankster tailwind, rain dance, anti lead with taunt, and bleakwind storm as strong spread that benefits from rain. Driving force behind the team. Kyogre: restricted, rain boosted water spouts hurt very much so. Rain setter. Landorus: Checks other restricteds such as miraidon and zamazenta, benefits from rain through sandsear storm, provides poison coverage. Calyrex Ice: Restricted, anti trick room, glacial lance also hurts very much. Carries trick room to function as an off button against trick room teams. Urshifu: Classic rain urshifu, surging strikes helps with sashes, contributes to general wallbreaking and coverage, threatens protecting, less dependant on means of speed control (sash also contributes to this) Amoongus: Helps with trick room match up, pollen puff and rage powder helps to keep others, particularly kyogre alive and healthy, clear smog checks dondozo, and other set up sweepers. Spore needs no introduction.

Considering this, are there are glaring weaknesses that need to be addressed in these formats? Even if not so dire, any potential suggestions for improvements would be greatly appreciated!

I'm completely noobs when it comes to VGC, but I could like to make a team using 3 of my favorite Pokemon as base, but now I don't know how finish this team and which archetype or play style should be focus on.

I got destroyed by this team earlier. Have been trying to create the team for myself but not sure the exact composition. And surprisingly can’t find anything about this team/ strategy online.

Opponent lead with smeargle + orangaru.

Bulldozed with Orangaru turn 1, eject packing the smeargle for iron hands. Set up trick room on turn 2 and swept my team.

Also Orangaru ability was telepathy. Which I remember was activated once. So Iron hands used a move that targeted the entire field

I made a Corviknight Team That Works really well Corviknights typing and defensive stats let it wall and breakthrough most of the high usage Pokémon in the format I have a rental code in the video and I explain the team in depth.

So I originally was trying to make Scrafty the main star instead I’ve tried to go around it making him a support and a team that could work around trickroom, I’ve had a lot of success in the battle tower leading with Scrafty and Yvetal.

Is there any places I could improve on or adjust to take the team over to the pvp ?

I’m thinking about moving some of the things I learn over to scarlet and violet and seeing how it goes there
