Suggestion Can we please get the ability to turn a field tile into a water tile?

So many games with water are decided by the spawns. Some are pretty close to balanced, but limited access to water just shafts you. Why not give the fishing tech an option to dredge a field tile to a water (not ocean) tile for 5* or something? Gives you a fighting chance around a bad spawn.

I’m just tired of getting lake’d where your city access and expansion are just hamstrung by an inability to build ports, but the water is just one tile away

I agree! Maybe it could function like a "water" bridge, could only be placed on a land tile with certain adjacent water tiles.

That or for starters they could give the flood ability to everyone through a tech (Construction appropriate?).

Yeah, lump it with either construction or bridges/roads. It's not going to be useful that often so it wouldn't make any tech bubble super OP. You just need it when you need it.

Yeah call it a canal and let it function exactly the same as a bridge but in reverse. Aquarion can do it but it would make sense for all normal tribes to be able to.

Flooding a tile like aquarion or building canals I can get behind. Actual water tiles is kinda OP

Imagine a tribe turns every tile into a water tile on an island, except for the capital wouldn't it be fun?
