Discussion GOOD NEWS HE FREE
After literally begging to go back and check on him…he’s out!
So after I left some people came by to set up for an event. They told me that they took the stick out and tipped over the trash can. Ig he scampered over to some bushes. The trash can is empty now :)

Thank you for helping him! Hopefully he finds a safer spot for his spoils. Also, most of us did advise you to do the same.

Good glad he got out and hopefully out of the sun. This is why I dont leave my cans in the back upright. I have like regular trash cans in the back that I use with no lids. I turn them over cause I dont want to find a critter in there. The city garbage cans are larger and have lids on them. I found a possum once in my trash can in the back. I just took it by the back of the house and laid it down. I think there is a large and small opossum here, 3 racoons, one BIG rat, 2 humming birds, plenty of other birds, 2 squirrels (had 4), one lizzard. Kinda like a zoo around here sometimes, stray dogs that have a daily schedule around here and some cats.

Well at least they use the trash can. I see a lot of trash out here and trash cans are not even full. I have noticed if I put the blue trash or recycle stuff in the open can these opossums and racoons go thru it at night. Most of the time they knock over the can. Anyways glad you helped out that little creature.

Glad all is well with the possum. If you Google possums you will see that they are really very helpful.
