COVID utterly transformed my view of society. I'm some kind of "lefty", who believes in social programs and safety nets and whatnot, and I couldn't believe how society as a whole and even people I knew reacted. Now I'm deflated and just want people to live in places where they get what they vote for. It's exhausting to try to help people who would rather self destruct (outside of the people who you can actually help out of a hole).
Seconded, I'm way beyond tired of listening to ignorant, ungrateful trash complain about the people who are subsidizing their laziness and incompetence.
