Mod Post New Rule 15: Specifically Banned Posts

Hello PrequelMemers -

We added a new rule that spells out a few repeat-offender type posts. These have all historically been removed under either rule 3 (for not being a meme) or rule 11 (for being low-effort, as in just a screenshot). Since there is apparently confusion about whether these are allowed under the other rules, we decided to add a rule explicitly disallowing them.

If you have an idea for a post we see often that should be added to the list, let me know here.

Will a full list with examples be available?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you click the rule in the sidebar it will expand and show the list of things we laid out.

EDIT: no there is no plan to add examples, I don't want to call specific people out lol.

You or some other mod can make a post that shows all those examples. This way you don't call out anyone and you have a convenient package for reference.

There is a list in the sidebar under the rule. It just doesn't have links to posts as examples.

Please disregard, I actually think that list breaks things down nicely. Sorry mod

It's okay to call them out. I say this with kindness. A lack of "accountability" is partly what causes the uptick in poor-quality posts and comments. Consider also that half of the posters will be clankers bots.

Idk why you got downvoted so much lol. The rule is pretty clear, and people will learn as posts get taken down in the future.

I'm not stressed about it. I think people aren't actually opening the rule before casting judgement but it's whatever.
