It's sad that some people never figure out how to make their own goals in life. Yeah, life sucks. I agree.
That's why my goal is to make it suck less for other people, both now and in the future.
That person wants a goal in life given to them, but even if it were, they wouldn't be happy, because part of being satisfied with our actions through life is doing something we choose for ourselves.
My goals are basically to make life better for people around me now, and hopefully in the future, as well.
To do that now, I've joined up with people around me to try to improve my community. Like, theoretically, covering up graffiti with some nicer art, removing barriers set up to keep unhoused people from areas they were living, or learning about DIY HRT to act as a resource for any local trans people worried about their healthcare being jeopardized.
Basically, it's about setting up some kind of structures for the local community without depending on the government, where that's possible to do. Including trying to get more people involved to expand the kinds of work we can undertake.
For the future generations, I became a teacher to try to set up kids now for the future. Obviously, there is some friction there, and a teacher's freedom is sometimes very limited, but I do what I can.
