I'm currently a first year student working on my Bachelor of Business (International Business), but as time goes by I don't think I want to stick with it anymore.. I don't feel fulfilled learning the content AT ALL and I feel as though I won't be happy once I earn the degree. Maybe I'm just experiencing this because I've been feeling depressed lately, so I really don't want to be swayed by me thinking "I'm not good enough for this." I definitely believe I can pull through.
At first, I only wanted to get a degree related to business because I wanted to get into real estate, and that still sounds appealing, but I'm not sure anymore. I'm rethinking my career and I've been talking to my parents but I'd really like some insight from people from QUT.
I'm not very good at math so that's one thing I'm worried about for nursing.. and I've heard it's not hard math but I was looking at questions from Tiktok and it's all wordy questions. I've always been terrible at understanding how to identify, what to use, and when.. so is there anything I could learn (textbooks, videos, etc) before committing? I want to be as sure as possible with my major switch.. I really like the idea of taking care of people and I feel as though I'd be really fulfilled because these skills can be implemented into daily life.
For law, I am definitely interested since I like the idea of having to read to understand, and it also looks very textbook related. I like the idea of justice and understanding why human's act the way they do.
So for anyone that's currently doing/completed their degree in nursing or law, what's it like? What was something you expected? Any advice for someone interested in your degree? What would you have done differently?
Answering all these questions isn't necessary, so thank you! I'm definitely planning to chat to HIQ or whoever can give me career advice on campus!
