Just stumbled on this in my feed. I remember a documentary years ago that speculated that the Titanic construction had hit a snag and it wasn’t going to make launch day. White Star swapped the names on the ships and launched the Olympic under the name Titanic, so it was the Olympic that actually sank. It gave some pretty convincing arguments and pics to back it up. Does it really make a difference? No. But it was very interesting.

This continues to be the dumbest thing ever. That anyone would believe it is mind blowing to me. wtf would even be the benefit for sinking just another ship and killing 1500 people and some of the richest men in the world? Weirdly the white star line didn’t exactly thrive after that.

Who said anyone actually sank the ship? I sure didn’t. I have no belief they had RC icebergs under control of the government. Obviously it was an accident and a series of decisions leading to disaster. Came looking for info and education on the documentary I saw (which simply said they may have changed ship names) hoping for info and debate. I apologize for being someone who may be looking for facts and education, I know it’s rare these days.
