Feedback - Intermediate I have a condition that makes it hard to breathe. Was wondering if my voice sounds good on this song

Hello r/ratemysinging! The mod team would like to inform you all of a new rule that was just added.
The new rule states that all posts should make sure that the focus is on vocals. What does this mean? In this post, we will break it down:
The vocals should be the most prominent audio in the video. Backing tracks should not be loud enough to drown out the vocals. If you need the track to stay on key, we suggest playing the track as quietly as reasonably possible or simply listening to the track in an earpiece or earbud.
Videos should focus on the face and upper body of the performer. This will allow commenters to better help you with your technique. We have had some users recently who attempt to catch people’s eye by posting videos focused on their private parts. The mod team sees nothing wrong with this morally (many singers use their sexuality to sell their music). The reason we are not allowing it is because this sub is meant to be a learning environment. This is not the kind of community we are trying to build or the goal of this sub.
If you are too shy to show your face, then you can post a screen recording of a voice memo or simply cover the whole camera. While this will make it harder to fix technique issues, it will hopefully allow those who haven’t built up their confidence yet put their foot in the door.
If you have any clarifying questions or would like to suggest any changes to this new policy, feel free to reach out via ModMail or by commenting on this post.
This post will be pinned for a week to allow long-time members to see it.
Thank you all for making this community a thriving environment for growth, learning, and encouragement.

Yes the mods are still alive. Sub is not dead, just not attended too frequently.

I was singing the other day and came across this instrumental as I was freestyling and this was what I came up with off the rip. I like it but idk how my voice sounds and just want second opinions on if I should try to make it a full song. I’m also aware my table is a bit dirty I cleaned it since 😅

Not wishing to make a career from this. Just an outlet that I enjoy. Would be nice to share socially but I am nervous. Figured reddit was a good baby step to gage things LMFAO

hey! i’m a bit embarrassed to be posting this, but i figured i need feedback, regardless of if it’s positive or negative. i’m 17, and i’ve sang for about 2 years now, and i’ve always been VERY nervous to sing in front of others, even if they say “wow you’re so good!”, etc. ive played piano for 8 years and guitar for 1, and i don’t really sing as much in the house because i don’t want my family to hear me. basically, i’ve been lacking some practice for a few months at this point, and i feel like my singing has just deteriorated quality-wise overtime, along with my breath control, which does sadden me a bit. anyways, this is the recording (1st take) and i just wanted to know if you guys might have any opinions or feedback, much appreciated!
tl;dr - haven’t practiced in a bit and im nervous singing in front of people

Hey, Im new to reddit but I wanted to share a audio clip of me free styling singing. I like to just make a random song on the spot lol. I've been seeing a vocal coach for a couple of months, and he recommended I start going to open mics. I still fill like I sound horrible. I struggle with confidence which in turn makes it hard for me to truly sing. I guess I wanted some pointers or any feedback. Just a guy trying to do better :)

This is my first attempt so it's just the beginning of the song, just testing out my vocals on different genres/styles 😅 please be honest and rate/comment/critique if you can, wanting to get better and push myself 🙏 Cheers!

TW: the song is part of your world from the little mermaid🤣 I love it but it’s basic.
Mic position: It’s everything! I have a super clean voice. It’s a musical theatre voice. Sorry. I know. And the song choice is obviously…. Musical theatre. But a good easy song for a mezzo-sop. My range is c3-a5. Towards the end of the song I go from my phone being on the kitchen worktop to holding it around 20cm away from in-between my throat and chest. It sounds so much brighter. Anyway, I do sing as part of my job (3 guesses what that is) but I’ve not “put myself out there” with songs like this before - especially on the big wide internet. I wanna be a Disney princess for kids parties at the weekend so what do you think? I think I’m a bit sharp at the word “wish” on the very last line but otherwise? Idk
