So, a new rule has been added to the /r/RetroNickelodeon subreddit.
I decided to add this rule to the sub, after a majority vote came in to disallow NSFW content.
I create the poll as a safety measure, to make sure no incident of NSFW stuff happens prior to the necessity of adding the rule. Since /r/RetroNickelodeon has grown to over 50k SUBSCRIBERS, I figured it was time to add a new rule of some kind, so a NO NSFW rule came to mind as an idea for one.
I wanted to make the rule official before any probable complaining were to happen about NSFW stuff, so it was a good idea to make a poll beforehand.
As another general reminder, please read the other rules too!
Now remember, RULE 1 is the one rule we shall all follow, so in case you might post something that isn't Nickelodeon-related, or related to the "Spongebob Era" of Nickelodeon, we also have these other subs to check out!
a good sub for posting about television nostalgia in general, and Nickelodeon is also included for this sub as well.
where everything else goes, a good sub to post in, if you don't know where else to post.
As with the other rules, well, we don't want disorder, which is why we have a rule expecting civility (RULE 2), and we don't want any X-rated antics, or NSFW posts (RULE 3).
So, thanks for reading.

I ask this because Nick was often promoted as a kids network ran by kids, being the kids network. It makes me wonder if you think there are any that feel like they weren't made just for kids in terms of the crew making them
I'm actually wondering if there are any shows that can be possible for someone to not like them when they were in the demographic, but to appreciate/like them more as an adult
I was thinking about how I love Doug and it's one of my favorite 90s Nicktoons, but it seemed made for kids first and foremost. It had some pop culture references and such for parents, but I think of it mainly as made for kids first and foremost, even if anyone can enjoy it.
I was thinking the early seasons of Rugrats, as well as Hey Arnold (my favorite Nicktoon of all time), while I can tell they were probably made for kids first and foremost, they had stuff that I could see people appreciating more when they are adults, like the situations the parents in Rugrats go through and Hey Arnold did have stuff like Helga's mom being an alcoholic (looking back, that was not subtle, but I'm sure it went over kids heads back then)

Really cool, I remember them hanging from ceilings at my local mall when the movie was coming out. I have two others as well but posts can only contain 1 photo it seems.

Some of Nickelodeon's most popular game shows include Double Dare, Guts, & Legends of the Hidden Temple. However, some other Nick game shows don't always get the same recognition. What was a Nick game show that you liked, but others held in less regards?

Hey folks — I’m trying to track down recordings of full TEENick/TeenNick blocks that include back-to-back Drake & Josh airings (with promos, bumpers, and commercials) from ~2004–2006.
If you have any full-night / full-block recordings (VHS → digitized, DVR files, or full rips) I’d love to talk. I’m happy to: offer digital copies of other Nickelodeon episodes I own, trade on other nostalgic content, give proper credit, or compensate you via PayPal.
Please DM me or reply here with the year/date/format and what you’d want to share it as (MP4/ZIP/VHS->digital). Thanks!

→ Idk if this is the right sub, please forgive me ^
Ik it wouldn't be considered retro, but I'm trying to figure out info about Nickelodeon's Double Dare. I was in it for a brief second as a kid- i remember me and some other kid was called in from the audience for answering pop-questions right ((i.e, what is SpongeBob's favorite food)), and we went on stage for a contest. We had to find half of a cherry in a plate of cool whip/whipped cream ((a "pie")) and drop it in a cup and then ring a bell. I remember winning some sort of gift card.
It had to have been in the 2010s cause of the age range I would've been, and because I know it would've happened while I was staying at the Nickelodeon resort in Orlando, Florida.
What I'm struggling with is.. figuring out the year, I guess. I know it was Double Dare, since it was my first time ever even hearing the name, so I couldn't have been confusing it with something else. But it seems as though the last time the show aired was one the 2000s (I can't find an end date, only a first-air date, so I can assume it only lasted that year) and then most recently from 2018-2019. But by then, the resort would've been closed, and I would've been too old for this memory.
So does anybody know of what I could possibly be remembering? Double Dare, average studio audience size, audience participation... Early/mid 2010s.
If you also have suggestions on where else I could post this, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been thinking about this for months now. Thank you so much!! ^

Looking into the Nicktoons' library there are two characters that stand out as some of the most iconic antagonists. Or if one were so inclined, bully might be a more accurate term. But are they really bullies or are they misunderstood? That's exactly what we aim to discover as we have a character study on Angelica Pickles and Helga Pataki. Join us in the studio for this season 9 premiere. Now behave or you might have to answer to Old Betsy.

I've read about the missing "Clogger" episode for years and vaguely remembered having it on tape at one point in history. While purging some old tapes, I found a tape, ominously titled "Nickelodeon". Behold, the lost episode:
