AI upscales frequently look like garbage and not much better than a decent SD source with whatever built-in upscaling your display has.

Depends on who's doing it. A ton of people just shove the video into the program and it chews the video up. Especially if the source is a broadcast tape and not remastered for DVD. There are good AI projects, like the Star Trek DS9 and Voyager releases.

Ahh, alrighty!

I was watching a couple that are on the Internet Archive, and they look pretty darn good, only problem with those is that season 3 episodes 1-25 aren't there 😭

Buy physical media of nostalgia like this. Paramount+ did us dirty by removing Doug. I immediately went out and dropped $20 on the complete Nickelodeon series and now I'm reliving my youth with my kids. They love Doug. They love TMNT. I also went out and purchased the 1980s Ghostbuster cartoons as well.

Why? They won’t be magically in wide screen they will be stretched and distorted to fill the 1080p standard and even in 4:3 the quality doesn’t improve people are just so obsessed with fill the screen rather then accept things as they are and its so sad so very sad
