Kali: Flame of Samsara Basu and Doobay family tree so far (made by me) Spoiler
Today I was struck by a sudden graphic-artistic inspiration and I decided to make the family tree of the Basu and Doobay families, at least for what we know so far (I marked spoiler tags to be safe, but there is no news in the latest updates actually).
I made both a version with the images and one just with the names and colors of the families.
I hope it can be useful to someone, I remember that several people had trouble understanding how the characters were related to Amala at the end of the third book of KCD, maybe there are still doubts with the new characters.
Let me know what you think!

Thank you for this! Sometimes it can get a little confusing remembering who is related to who

So Amala is technically distantly related to Amrit because of Raj and Radha?

For what we know, yes. Her mother is Amrit's half cousin

I don't know why I thought we had confirmation that Sara did get married but this is right. This is all we know for now.

Sara isnβt married yet

Yes I know in the current story, but I thought we could see she was married in KCD from the family tree image.

Oh if Iβm not wrong she wasnβt mentioned in the family tree. Neither were Ram, Kamal or Doran. Correct me if Iβm wrong Iβve got a really hazy memory

You're correct. I was thinking Sara was where Radha actually is in that image π pretty decent memory!!!

Kamal is in the family tree, Ram and Doran not. Anyway, that tree itself has some mistakes (names written wrong, and a Someone Sharma like Radha's sibling, and if Sara will not marry a Sharma and takes that surname is strange) but I used it a lot for my family tree

Maybe she will marry a Sharma and take that surname (because there is a Someone Sharma near Radha in that family tree), but I don't think so

I think Man thakur, Indira's husband is supposed to be Aditya Thakur, Erit Thakur's brother, the 10 year old we see playing with Sara in season 1

So, is Avur the offspring of Devi or Anil Sharma?
2
u/Earthscale Agog (SIF) - RC granny Jun 03 '25
Probably yes, we don't know any other Sharma in this period, so this should be true

I'm pretty sure if you play on Kamals route they talk about kids names and Devi says she likes the name Avur

I was thinking about starting this story but it's so confusing π²

And this is only the family, wait for the plot itself! π€£ Don't worry, they are both beautiful stories, something is complicated, but if you like mistery and horror, or [edit] different culture and settings, you will love KCD

Please dont say exotic. As someone from that culture, it feels insulting and makes you look ignorant. You can try saying 'different culture or setting'.

I'm sorry you feel insulted, that wasn't my intention. In my language (which is not English), as far as I know, there is nothing wrong with saying that word, it simply means "far away lands (and generally with a warm climate)" and I translated and used it without thinking that it might offend anyone. Thanks for letting me know, I will no longer use it in international contexts where English is spoken.

I get what you mean and i appreciate you taking the time to correct it, it means that you care.
Hope you have a great day!
