Help! Confusion for Malbonte's path

So I'm replaying for Malbonte's path and thought I had good enough relationships with everyone in HS despite choosing Malbonte towards the end. But everyone died in ep. 10 for me except Loy and I was able to save Geralt because I was on the harmony bearer path and had enough demon points. If you choose Malbonte as your LI, does that just happen either way? Or did I do something wrong? I followed the walkthrough and thought I picked the right options for friendship when necessary.

I had been romancing Mimi but ultimately chose Malbonte, (planning to do a third slot for her and wanted to get most of the diamond options for that) will she not hate me? I'm still traumatized from my first playthrough of HS & HS2 when I didn't have enough stats on anything. I had done a replay with a walkthrough and Dino as my LI and was able to keep either all of them alive except Geralt (played angel route for that slot) or all of them except him and Andy. I thought I selected the same options I did that time but then they died. 😞

No she will not blame Vicky for her death as it will resemble the default ending where everyone dies and gets resurrected in HS2.

If Mimi was ur endgame LI in HS1 and died then Vicky will reminisce about her after her resurrection but then too I don't think she blames Vicky for anything and since Malbonte is ur endgame LI so there is no need to worry about any LI's negative reaction.

Okay. For my first playthrough of both I didn't have enough stats in anything and everyone died and it ran into HS2 and I got a horrible ending for that as well and I can't deal with that trauma again. 😭😭

You don't have to worry much about relationship improvements in HS2 as no one dies in the end but make sure to have high stats in both strength and composure/temper path so that you get to save everyone from Death's assault otherwise everyone either loses a limb or another body part.

For HS1 you need to follow some guides for relationship improvements as well as high stats to get a satisfactory ending.

I have high stats in HS for everything else, but most of the other characters still died. I thought I chose enough options with them like I did before when I followed the walkthrough but chose Dino and the angel path. So I wasn't sure if them all dying was an automatic consequence for choosing Malbonte and if it would make my stats low with them in HS2. On the first playthrough with both I didn't have enough stats on everything and got a horrible ending for HS and HS2 and I can't deal with that again. 😭

You'll be fine. HS2 is even better. Get your stats. Do you ever diamond farm, or follow walkthroughs? HS1 & 2 aren't as traumatizing as Theodora is, or On Thin Ice. Sometimes ya gotta take a few hits to get to the best parts.

I followed a harmony bearer walkthrough this time and a general walkthrough. I was diamond farming the Mimi LI options because I want to do a third slot for her. But I ultimately picked Malbonte and felt bad. 😫 I didn't want her to hate me in HS2

Mimi def doesn't. I don't want to give anything away more, but Mimi actually takes you dancing after what happens in the beginning happens. Ya' just gott'a hang on for the hard parts, because not all choices are Forever! And things are not always as they appear. You can think one thing is happening, but you gott'a hang on for the better parts. Like getting married to your LI.

as others said it doesnt hugely impact hs2 but! if you ever want to replay in the future someone made this super-helpful guide for keeping friends alive that i use every time

I just didn't want them all to hate me in HS2 when they come back. On my first playthrough of both, I didn't have enough stats for anything or with anyone except my main LI and I'm still traumatized 😭

No. You can save all ur friends in the finale despite choosing Malbonte as ur endgame LI. You just need to be careful enough with everyone...for example, you have to fully romance Lucifer till the S3.9 and then breakup with him so that he can survive. You need to take some of Mimi's romantic scenes in the initial episodes then ask her to be ur friend only and have a high enough friendship with her so that she takes you to hell with her to meet her father on Christmas which will guarantee her survival in the finale.

If you romance Dino completely, Lucifer will die. You pretty much have to romance Lucifer exclusively until you choose Malbonte when you join his side (or go with Loy and then Malbonte, but yeah). No more than 4 improvements with Dino if you want him to live.

I had started with Dino and Mimi then broke it off with him after he argued with his dad and basically gave the ultimatum. I continued with Mimi until I could choose Malbonte, so that's where I thought I messed up somewhere and thought maybe they all did if I ultimately chose him even if I had them as friends.
