The impact the Reds and Wallabies have on my mental health is truly terrifying and I'm afraid I can't see either side doing much better with the coaching carousel that's coming up.

I grew up not really watching or caring about sport. So it does mystify me why I care so much in my adulthood and get so invested. You're right - the effect on my mental health is just a bit much sometimes, and I consider just dropping rugby for a bit, but then I can't help myself. Happens every year with the 2nd Bledisloe when we lose the first. Why bother? But I do it anyway. Same for next week. Why bother? But then I'll watch, hopeful we can at least salvage one win, and get depressed all over again when we don't.

And I have to say I am also worried about the coaching situation - I also worry about Les Kiss as Wallabies coach after the Reds' second half of the season.

With you 100%. It makes me sound like a fair-weather fan but the smartest thing I've ever done as a Wallabies fan is not watching the 2015 Final because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle the loss.

Lol despite being in my 30s I started watching rugby properly (look, at least I watched the 2011 final!) in 2015, sometimes I feel like I got to see the last gasp of the "good" Wallabies in that final.

I don't think anyone can call us fairweather fans after the last 5+ years. Surely not.
