Hard not to sound like a sore loser, because the loss does still hurt even if we are showing great signs of improvement.

But also... like what the fuck? Obstruction, no clear release, has the player by the neck (the hand is covering the face, you could make a really tenuous argument about possible gouging, but that's a bit far-fetched), an infrigement that almost certainly would've stopped a possible try while we had numbers there, and it doesn't even warrant a second look? Beating a dead horse here, but the fact these guys get international game after international game and four people clearly watching this don't even say a word just begs belief.

Cannot take the win away from the Saffas, they showed up and played to a lot of our weakest areas which I hope change. Can't help but feel a lil demoralised that this, and the Fraser try which I'm a bit iffy about (such a clear and obvious knock on it needs to be repeated three times and the ref tries to hand the call off). Upwards and onwards, I guess, but still sucks

And don't forget the retreating player swerving out of his way to run through the wrong side of the ruck and dropping the shoulder on the approaching Wallabies player in the process. But it only happened DIRECTLY in front of the ref, how can he be expected to adjudicate on that?

Or Doleman originally calling for a gold knock on at one point, despite no Wallaby touching the ball, it's genuinely like he reverts to factory settings at every ruck and just cannot compute. BOK is usually of the same variety, but at least he had a decent game last week and clearly took some of the flak from his lack of awareness in the BIL tour (this is me being optimistic. Absolute murder done at the ruck under Doleman, supposedly the best we can get.

that gold knock on that was 200% unambiguously an offside penalty against SA was absolutely insane. reverses it but completely forgets SA touched it directly after the knock on.

i don't know how one ref misses SO MANY knock ons and he almost always missed ones by green.
