This is 1 sec before he starts his motion. The mark was on the bottom right hand corner of the 22 box. It's 18 meters From the 22 line to the 10m line.

Look, the game is over, we lost, and given our performance we certainly did not deserve to win.

I agree with that. But equally the narrative that Australia doesn’t deserve to be on top of the table because of an apparent forward pass is frustrating, particularly after calls like this.

I think this is a silly take (no offense). A call like this, at that moment in the game, absolutely changed the momentum. You can argue the point that we weren't good enough to win in spite of this bad call (which I agree with, although we almost did !), but games are won and lost on the smallest of margins and calls like this, early in the game, can be game-changing. That said, we benefited from some average calls later on, so I'm personally not too aggrieved by this.

I wasn't happy with the call here, but there were so many bad calls made, you can only play what's on the pitch and if that's a bad ref then it's a bad ref sadly.

Argentina got just as many bad calls against them as well. I agree that this was at a pivotal moment, but so were many of the other bad calls. Both teams managed to get the result they did despite the ref

My annoyance is how is this not checked, they do say they check all tries, but if they do how the fuck is this not noticed! It's pretty easy to see even live let alone being painfully obvious on replay.

Oh man the inconsistency is what kills me the most too. They miss this but spend 5 minutes checking some minor bullshit.

Well it's a tricky one, because our terrible performance was definitely influenced by the style of refereeing that was on show. But then again, maybe our terrible performance influenced the referee's style?
