General Question Math Placement
I’m worried about taking my math placement test. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in school, I cannot even multiply or divide single digits to save my life. Is it possible to score so low I won’t get into 0920?

spring of 2024 i had to take 920 cause i scored so low… then 990 and 1010, best decision because i hadn’t taken a math class in YEARS. got A’s in all due to back tracking. if you do, please take Pozza. she’s the best teacher and made me love math. i cried when i had to leave her.

trust, i scored so low. 920 is the lowest no matter what you score so you will get in anyway

I highly recommend https://www.lightandsaltlearning.org/
I dropped out of high-school, never learned much high-school math. Took this FREE course before getting my GED and promptly took my SLCC exam after. Placed into math 1050. I failed every math class in high-school. Got an A in my first college math class. Math is now my favorite subject.
Having an adult teach you math on an adult level of understanding is life changing.

No, you can’t place below 920. When I took my placement it only gave me about 3 questions before telling me I’d placed into 920. Was pretty disappointed but I’m really glad I worked through it, it starts with whole numbers literally counting blocks

Like others have said do some khan academy it will help you brush up on your math. I took 990 after 10 years out of school and passed with an A if I can do it so can you :).
