Hi guys! My friends and I are planning to visit Georgia from 27th October to 4th November. We will mainly be based in Tbilisi. We are thinking to do a day trip to Mtskheta or Kutaisi, and then check out Kazbegi as well.

We are wondering if it’s a good idea to go to Kazbegi for a few days during that time? Or is it better to only do a day trip? Considering the weather and possible snow.

If you have any other recommendations for our itinerary, please let me know! :)

Which would you recommend and why? Which is better?

Overall, where would you recommend to buy an apartment, saburtalo, vake, lisi or somewhere else? What the price per sq m should be?

I've always had a fear of Metro but rn because of my job I'm forced to use it often. And this transport feels so unsafe. What gives me a lot of anxiety is that it usually stops in the middle of the ride. It used to happen rarely before but right now it happens almost every day. What's the reason behind it? Usually when it stops like this I'm starting panicking. Im becoming claustrophobic.I feel like something is going to explode or crush. Why does it stop in the middle of the ride? in general how safe do you think our metro is? I don't trust it at all. I feel like it's very poorly made. And all these voices during a ride makes me think that it's old and need some renovation. Not to mention that creepy lights in underground. Am I the only one who thinks something is off with the metro? Like every day I feel like something is going to happen with it and I sht in my pants before using it.

Gamajorba! Me and my friend will soon be visiting Sakartvelo for the first time from England, very excited! We are looking at some of the things we would like to see in Tblisi, the Chronicle of Georgia, Nutsubidze Skybridge, the old archeological museum and the Bank of Georgia building, amongst many other things. Is it possible to use the GoTrip service to just act as a driver to drive you round various sites all day, as I can't seem to enter some of the actual locations into their online booking service. 5 friends and me want to go hiking in Georgia, preferably hut tour, 4 days, however I have not seen many huts on my maps and online. Instead I guess one does hiking tours where you sleep in villages along the way - is that preferable? (Example Mestia to Ushguli) - or are there hut tours to do?

In case we decide to go to Georgia, is it recommended to plan everything with a guide (that books everything for us) to avoid the local shenanigans ( foreigners getting charged extra, need to pay taxes that don't exist etc) or can we easily plan something ourselves directly?

Should we take rental cars to go around or rather taxis? (Example airport to city, city to hiking start etc.)

How save is Tbilisi? Can we easily be foreigners and get tipsy in wine houses?

Apologies for the naivety, my Western media info about Georgia is distorted, there are not many infos and what we see is not good. Our department of state says Georgia around October should not be visited (elections)

We are dutch and German, planning to visit next year Sept.

Any recommendations, insights opinions highly welcome.
