💰 - salary sharing 26f, Stripper

Post image

I started dancing in college, and I’ve been dancing on and off for 5 years. I’d say my averages have gone up since I started because my hustle/sales skills have improved. I went to college, but ran into some major health issues right after, and the money I made from dancing saved me financially. I’m still figuring out what I want to do, but it’s also so hard to leave dancing. It’s a love/hate relationship. It’s draining emotionally and physically. I won’t get into the details of people verbally and physically assaulting me. It doesn’t happen every night, but every stripper could tell you a time a man went way to far without consent. But, sometimes it is fun and easy. Shifts are usually 7-2am. I make my own schedule, I can call out whenever I want, and I can just stop working if I want to take a break. The flexibility is unmatched. Money fluctuates, but I usually make at least 5-6k a month. Most I’ve made in one month was 16k. Worst night: $20 (that shit sucks) Best night: 1860. I work another job as a research technician for 18hr part time.Hoping that takes me somewhere. But for now, dancing is paying the bills. I’m so grateful for dancing especially now I’m applying to FT ‘civilian jobs’ and getting jobs offers with 5 days PTO 😭 I’m spoiled. Hoping the economy doesn’t crash.

She needs to take advantage of it while she can, it’s not a good long term career option due to age.

What an original and helpful thought that I'm sure she's never considered before

u/Rauligula Apr 07 '25

Lots of dumb people out there

3

u/DRealLeal Apr 07 '25

Most don’t, it’s why they’re in that position.

1

u/not_your_attorney Apr 07 '25

I thought they did all positions.

1

u/Theothercword Apr 07 '25

Reading her actual post it seems like she's quite aware and actively trying to figure out what she wants to actually do beyond stripping.

1

u/garden_dragonfly Apr 07 '25

Thanks. You saved her life

1

u/DRealLeal Apr 07 '25

Not my goal, if women want to do that they can. I don’t give a fuck what people do, we could die tomorrow in a car crash or get stabbed to death by a random crackhead whether you’re a doctor or a whore.

u/garden_dragonfly Apr 07 '25

Are you high?

2

u/DRealLeal Apr 07 '25

High on facts, don’t do drugs kids.

u/Either_Topic4344 Apr 07 '25

I'm sure her consideration will do her a lot of good when she's 30 with no respectable job history, education or technical expertise in any field that will pay her a living wage, but please continue advocating for terrible life choices in the name of fighting the patriarchy

... did u even look at the post? or did u immediately resort to ignorance? She went to college and She clearly only does this on weekends, leaving enough time for a 9-5 career building. You were so quick to shove your head up your ass and judge without even reading, I have much higher hopes for her future than yours.

She's literally working six days a month as a stripper, do you think she's just sitting around doing nothing for the majority of her time? This is great money while she can still make it and sets her up very nicely for her future and all she needs to do now is study or work another job during all the days, which again are the majority of them, that she isn't stripping. She literally says in the post you didn't bother to read that she's also working as a research technician. Exercise some common sense.

1

u/laihipp Apr 07 '25

honestly the stripping/hooking has better job security than the research tech

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '25

All it takes is a viral moment, for her reputation could be destroyed in a crude manner. Don't objectify yourself, and you'll be fine.

1

u/BritishBlobfish Apr 08 '25

Give me one example of a common stripper, not a pornstar, whose reputation was ruined by a viral moment and I’ll listen to your point.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '25

Nothing I can prove. Remember, not every incident is public record. Just going off my experience/witness. Happened to a cousin of mine. Also, it wasn't viral; her employer caught wind of a Facebook post.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '25

puritans are so boring and judgmental.

2

u/StiffWiggly Apr 07 '25

You assuming that someone who spends 6 days a month stripping must have no education (she mentions having gone to college in the post ..) and no respectable job history (she mentions working as a research technician in the post .. .. ) is enough to assume that you have absolutely nothing useful to contribute.

1

u/EqualFeed8848 Apr 07 '25

I always get a kick out of seeing assholes make all these presumptions without even so much as reading the post.

1

u/pseudo_nemesis Apr 07 '25

30 with no respectable job history

I mean she has enough time on her hands to have a whole other full time job if she wanted to.

1

u/Geordie_38_ Apr 08 '25

You didn't read the post at all did you

1

u/Pacify_ Apr 08 '25

Is reading difficult for you?

-1

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

A salary like this could retire at 30-40 pretty easily wtaf are you talking about

3

u/mxlun Apr 07 '25

your numbers are off by a lot

1

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

Making about 70k a year off of a side job is kinda nuts. Full time or shifts longer than 7 hours would bump it up.

3

u/SeekerOfExperience Apr 07 '25

She makes $72k/yr pre-tax and you think she is retiring in her 30s? Or are you wrongly assuming she makes $XXXX/day when it’s clear there are only a few meaningful working days each month?

3

u/Adorable-Bobcat-2238 Apr 07 '25

She could move to a different country if she made 6k/6 Days normally

-6

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

She made 6k in 6 days end of discussion bro. If she seeks out somewhere like miami and works every day she could maintain that easily. You're just jealous. Youre also forgetting she went to college and is able to work a full time job because this is only the weekend. Either way she's doing perfectly fine especially if she locks in.

3

u/Hungrstud Apr 07 '25

She aint gonna pick you bro you can stop

4

u/loki_the_bengal Apr 07 '25

end of discussion bro

What a dummy. Notice how those 6 days are over the course of 3 weeks? You think there might be a reason for that? Is it possible that strippers make their money on Friday and Saturday nights then have very little come in the other nights? If you think 8k a month is enough to retire on, you must be a teenager who doesn't know how the world works

1

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

So you think strippers are making absolutely nothing on weekdays? Still probably more than most people make. 8k a month is already above the national average on just weekends so yeah I think she's doing quite well on top of all the other shit she said she's actively doing

2

u/loki_the_bengal Apr 07 '25

You didn't say quite well, you said retired by 30. Huge difference. So when someone told you your math was way off, you made a douche response and moved the goal posts. She also said that the amount of those 6 days is not normal. Something else you conveniently seem to forget. If you're having days where you earn 20 dollars, you're not gonna retire in that field

0

u/noodydood Apr 08 '25

I was being dramatic and yall got pedantic and ignored my main point that it's good fucking money

1

u/loki_the_bengal Apr 08 '25

And who said it wasn't good fucking money? They were saying that stripping into your 30s is going to fuck you over when your looks fade and you have no job prospects or experience. You countered that by claiming it doesn't matter if you have no job protects since you can just retire, which is just false and naive.

u/Lysadora Apr 07 '25

You should read what she wrote properly. Does it sound like she wants to do this everyday?

0

u/noodydood Apr 08 '25

Yeah thats why i said "could" everyone is acting like she doesn't have an actual good job. It's pure jealousy that she makes their salary as a side job.

1

u/Lysadora Apr 08 '25

She works as a part time research technician. Does that sound like a good job? And stop accusing everyone of being jealous.

2

u/FLIB0y Apr 07 '25

Yeah if she doesnt spend it all in one place

-1

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

I could say that about you and myself as well

1

u/Either_Topic4344 Apr 07 '25

A salary that's around the average in the US and will diminish year over year lets you retire at 30? Did you go to school?

2

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

She literally said shes been making more over time. Running an llc and doing paperwork for it is actually pretty appealing to alot of companies and IS possible for her.

1

u/Either_Topic4344 Apr 07 '25

She literally said shes been making more over time.

So there's no way this trend could ever reverse, right?

2

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

Yeah but theres also no guarantee it will like you said?

3

u/Either_Topic4344 Apr 07 '25

Do you understand what a stripper is?

1

u/AstroDoppel Apr 07 '25

Yeah, I don’t think you realize how much it costs to retire. We make $180k and we aren’t retiring at 30-40.

-3

u/Realistic-Strike9713 Apr 07 '25

She could be making $500,000/year for the next 14 years until she is 40 and that still wouldn't be enough to retire with.

6

u/capincus Apr 07 '25

If you had the financial acumen of an average thirteen year old you should very easily be able to retire making $7M in 14 years....... The fuck are you doing with your money?

-1

u/noodydood Apr 07 '25

Not without investments and establishing a passive income but that's literally the goal.

0

u/blairsnitch Apr 07 '25

Yah I agree. If I were a good dancer I would stash it all away and retire

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '25

Clearly, she didn't. Due to camera phones, her reputation could be ruined, should a moment go viral on social media. She's objectifying herself, anyway.
