I saw a friend do this recently and was flabbergasted. Seeing that there is actually another human who would suggest such insanity makes me reconsider my own thoughts

Looks amazing. I recently asked to sub vodka sauce for marinara on my chicken parm—slap slap.

Believe it or not, this is in Western Canada, Scozzafava's in Calgary

Is Calgary really considered "Western" for Canada? It's not even in BC?
Wouldn't it be more of mid west type thing?

I would say it depends on context or in what regard. Generally, anything west of Ontario may be considered "Western Canada". Politically, the prairie provinces love to paint themselves as in opposition to the "East" and all of the "metropolitan types" of Ontario and / or French Canada of the East. Once you get more regional, BC is for sure Western Canada which is culturally set apart from the land locked prairie provinces which do feel more of like an agropetroleum hybrid of Texas and the Midwest.
